Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want every family to book with confidence. This policy explains exactly what is refundable and when, for all A World Academy summer and winter academies. Last updated June 2026.

The deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £750 (or the equivalent in the programme currency) is required to secure a place. Because places are limited and held exclusively for your child, the deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.

Cancellation by you

If you cancel after paying the balance, refunds (excluding the deposit) are provided on the following sliding scale, based on the date written notice reaches us:

• More than 8 weeks before the start date — the full balance is refunded.

• Between 4 and 8 weeks before — 50% of the balance is refunded.

• Less than 4 weeks before — no refund of the balance is available.

All cancellations must be made in writing to info@aworldacademy.com.

Cancellation by us

In the unlikely event that we cancel a programme, you will be offered either a full transfer to an alternative date or a full refund including the deposit.

Visa refusals

If a place is cancelled because of a documented UK (or other) visa refusal, we will refund all fees paid except the deposit, provided we receive the official refusal notice at least 4 weeks before the start date.

Dismissal for misconduct

No refund is given where a student is dismissed for a serious breach of our Code of Conduct. Reasonable costs arising from an early departure are the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances. This policy forms part of our full Terms & Conditions.
